We are seeking an experienced engineer in roadway design and analysis who is eager to advance their career to the next level. You will lead design and plans production for FDOT and local government roadway and safety projects. Primary Responsibilities and Activities

  • Perform and lead roadway design and plan production for FDOT and local government projects
  • Develop and review 3D roadway corridor models using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
  • Coordinate across disciplines with drainage, traffic, structures, geotechnical, and environmental teams to ensure cohesive design packages
  • Prepare quantities using FDOT’s Basis of Estimates (BOE) and assist with project cost estimates
  • Create design documentation, memos, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform internal quality control for design plans, models and documentation for accuracy and compliance with FDOT and local requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor members of our growing roadway design group
  • Contribute to winning project pursuits from existing clients and new clients, building upon our strong and growing client relationships

Background and Fundamental Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an active FL PE license (in good standing)
  • 4+ years of experience as a Roadway Engineer for FDOT and local government projects
  • Traffic engineering design and analysis experience is beneficial
  • Expert proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD) including 3D Modeling
  • Ability to lead multiple interdisciplinary teams to design and produce construction plans
  • Ability to develop project scopes, staff hour, fee estimates and schedules for new projects
  • Ability to market and develop new business through building and maintaining relationships
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills
