Rockville, MD Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning and Design Services


Landis Evans + Partners, formerly Sprinkle Consulting, served on a 3-year on-call services contract for bicycle and Pedestrian Planning and design projects for the City of Rockville, MD. Rockville is committed to creating a community that is bicycle and pedestrian friendly. Following the adoption of a Bikeway Master Plan in 1998, the City has made significant progress towards implementing its recommendations. Tasks completed or underway include an update of the City’s Bikeway Master Plan and Map, preparation of a grant application to the Maryland Highway Safety Office for the development of a bicycle and pedestrian safety education program, conceptual designs for two intersections with trail crossings, and development of recommendations to improve the design and safety of trail/roadway intersections throughout the City.
